2018 was nothing short of exhilarating for GuestCentric! Here is a brief recount of some of the most relevant game-changers we’ve put out there for you:

We continued to blaze new trails on our industry-leading platform to ensure that you not only reach more guests but that those guests can connect and interact with you more intuitively from the moment they fall in love with your website.

We introduced PowerConvert –  an industry-first for independent hotels – which is an add-on that builds upon GuestCentric’s award-winning digital marketing suite and transforms it into a unified web experience providing a seamless website and booking engine platform without any transitions for guests, leading to a superior user experience that delights from discoverability to the moment of booking direct, while bringing you the sort of digital infrastructure that rivals that of major global brands, but in a much more agile and cost-effective manner. To that end, we’ve also made significant enhancements to the “Rates from” label adding Intelligent Rates Display. The “Rates from” label is now clickable when browsing the Rooms page redirecting users directly to the room they selected on the date on which the rate is available.  Similarly, the new shopping activation widget – Today’s Best Offer – showcases your hotel’s best offer for the day. Upon clicking the widget, guests are redirected to the booking engine for the best offer available that night. But that’s not all we’ve for your guests, we’ve added a new payment option – Mobile Money Accept – and the booking engine now shows logos for all available credit cards making it easier for guests to identify their preferred payment method.

But there is more! With the smart, busy hotelier in mind, we’ve spared no pains in making things easier just for you, so that you can focus just on your guests.

Our dashboards have undergone a complete overhaul. The new powerfully simple dashboards allow you to make better and more informed decisions. Among the many exciting changes, we have introduced a new feature – Direct Lift which enables you to closely monitor the performance of your direct channels and the different tools you have at your disposal, allowing you to make better and more informed choices. The new Intelligent Availability Sync makes it possible for you to check availabilities on Booking.com and Expedia right from the Revenue area, helping you to prevent overbookings in an easy, quick and visual way. You can manually synchronize availability right from the Revenue area for all dates or just for those that present a higher risk of overbookings. In addition, an automatic sync is scheduled for every night, further reducing the risk of overbooking. Let’s not forget the round numbers on rate changes by percentage. Now when changing rates by applying a percentage, either increasing or decreasing the value, you get nice round numbers with a single decimal digit. We also kept you compliant and up to date on the sometimes daunting GDPR with a new GDPR policies section and consent text provided in a staggering 22 languages.

Last but not least, we are proud to inform you that to the 180 international accolades we have amassed, in 2018, we added another 37! We traveled to 13 cities in 5 countries where we put together 14 events to discuss The Digital Future of Your Hotel, and as previously disclosed, we took over Great Hotels of the World. We could not have done any of this without our 23 brilliant new hires, but most of all, of course, we could not have done this without you!
